Few days back Kongunadu Munnetra Kazhagam joined DMK alliance for contesting in the TamilNadu Assembly Election 2011 and secured 7 seats. I would say this is a very good number for a new small – unrecognized party. Lot of news source confirms that they preffered to join AIADMK alliance, but J Jayalalitha didn’t respond properly.

We didn't expect the result to favor DMK+ alliance. That too sharp sudden support. But the percentage of Votes polled in highly doubtful.

M Karunanidhi is in the verge of getting ministerial post to his blood descendant. This always makes me to feel proud about Alagiri or MK Stalin

One good is PMK didnt get any seat and the bad is Vaiko lost.

Two expected thing was P Chidambaram ‘s victory which we thought he will loose or win in only less than 10000 votes which happened and Manishakar Iyer ’s   failure, who is yet another fit for nothing like Subramaniyasamy .

Sabapathy Mohan, is a Doctorate in Chemistry taught  the subject & learnt it from the Annamalai University. He contested the 1991 Assembly elections from Bhuvanagiri constituency on a DMK ticket. Later, he moved to the MDMK and contested three elections including the 1998 parliamentary elections from North Madras. Losing everytime in the election, he joined DMK back a year ago.

Karunanidhi & Co and Maran brothers Re-unification

In an attempt to patch up, DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, accompanied by his family members, a day back met his estranged grand nephews Kalanidhi Maran and his brother Dayanidhi Maran here and held frank discussions for a possible reunion.

The family members of Karunanidhi, including his second son M K Azhagiri, who was reportedly opposed to any patch-up efforts with Maran brothers, were present in the meeting at which the Marans had explained their position.

Karunanidhi later told reporters that the initiative for the meeting came from Azhagiri, the Madurai-based elder son and his brother and Local Administration Minister M K Stalin

DMK Chief might have feared that the Maran brothers would join its rival(s). One of my friend was even telling that Vijayakanth & Maran met somewhere near Madurai.

The old issues between them is temporarily sorted out due to forth coming election.  How about the Raja 's Spectrum Case & the cases registered against Madurai Dinakaran Office killings ????

DMK Chief M Karunanidhi always had someone closely related to him posted in NewDelhi, to have a strong & trustful message passer between him (Madras) and the Central Govt. (Delhi)

For nearly 30+ years he had Murasoli Maran, his Nephew in Delhi as a Central Minister or atleast a Rajya Sabha MP. After his death, he posted Dhayanidhi Maran, Marans' son in that place.

After the Maran Sent out Drama, as expected Karunanidhi is making Kanimozhi [D/o to Rajathi(his third Wife)], who is equally lovable like Selvi(daughter through his Second Wife Dhayalu) is going to become Rajya Sabha MP.

May be after a week, she will become the Minister of State of Commerce or something similar to this porfolio.

Marans and the DMK issue

It seems, the Kiddy Maran sent his resignation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. DMK (thi Moo Ka - Thiru Mu Karunanidhi) has to decide as the Party functionaries have given the DMK Chief MK the power to do anything on this issue.

There is a chance that the young Maran might survive in the cabinet still.

Reasons for the Chance for his survival :

1. Marans' Paternal grandma was the one who brought up M Karunanidhi - to my surprise she is still alive (may be 90+ yrs old) she might support Maran (s) as they all live together.
2. No bad remarks in his career, though its not even a year old - NEWS source reveal that PM wants MK not to disturb the cabinet
3. He is the one of the richest person in the country - it might sound bullshit - But my dears think what will happen to DMK after MKarunanidi s' death ?? he can buy all the people in the DMK

I really felt pity on him when he/his Media group published the so called  opinion poll based on peoples' vote saying he is the best Cabinet Minister from the State (Tamilnadu). May be he thinks the Finance Mininster P Chidamabaram is doing nothing....

I personally feel that he can remain in the ministry - the main reason is there is no better replacement for him in the DMK MP s' free pool (software field la sollum na - bench la nalla allunga yaarum illa)

PTR Palanivel Rajan

PTR Palanivel Rajan, a known statesman from TamilNadu whose father PT Rajan was a Chief Minister of the state in 1930. He is from DMK() Party and was one of the senior leader.

He died due to Heart Attack on the way to Madurai on May 20^th, 2006 - after exactly a week assuming duty as the Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment in the 2006 DMK government formed in TamilNadu. Also he was the Speaker of TamilNadu Legislative Assembly in 1996 - 2001 DMK govenrment.

PTR Palanivel Rajan, belonged to Mudaliyar community and served as a the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) many times representing Madurai. PTR was born on February 22, 1932 and in Uthamapalyam village in Theni.

T Rajendar, a Tamil Cine Actor who used to Direct, Produce, Compose Songs & Music & act as a HERO in a movie with his own Screenplay & Story is all along with DMK for nearly 2 decades. But he used to take rest by going out of DMK for a while & coming back. Like in 1991 he left DMK & started a new political party called Thayga Marumalarchi Kazhagam before the TamiNadu Assembly Election 1991 along with  K K S S R R Ramachandran and Thirunavukarasu.

But the party Thayga Marumalarchi Kazhagam had an electoral alliance with DMK and contested in 11 constituencies in which the party leaders  K K S S R R Ramachandran and Thirunavukarasu won in Sattur & Arantangi, whereas T Rajendar our HERO lost his victory to J Jayalalitha, the AIADMK general secretary in Bargur.

And after joining DMK in 1996, he was given a chance to contest in Park Town in madras, where his margin exceeded by 30,000 with the runner.

And in 2001 Election to the state Assembly he lost his seat to SG Viayagamoorthy of TMC in the same constituency. And after he was not that much active in politics, and in 2004 he again moved out of DMK, starting a party called Laktchiya DMK. Then he joined amma, and started talking ill of M Karunanidhi.

Once he said :  "Alli kodupadhu Amma,  killi kooda kodukkadhavar Karunanidhi " when he was with J Jayalalitha. And it was said that he asked for 10 seats & JJ offered him only 2. And immediately he quit the AIADMK alliance & joined DMK.

And yesterday I saw his speech in SUN TV, where he mentioned Vaiko as a pyshco , " ea VAIKO nee oru psycho, adhanaala nee veliya Poi ko" etc., He is famous for this Rhyming words (Sonnet kinda language) he uses, but I feel there is no motive/any goal he has set to achieve in his political career.(Even others don't, but they pretend to show

Sarathkumar joins ADMK

Well known Tamil Cine actor and DMK Rajya Sabha MP, R Sarath Kumar, resigned from the primary membership of the DMK party a week back. And now he joined the AIADMK in the presence of Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Theni. Also his wife and famous Cine Actress Radhika joined in ADMK.

Last week when he sent a resignation letter to the DMK chief M Karunanidhi, he was silent about his MP Post. So I was concluding like, after elections he may re-join the party. Also, many programmes hosted in Sun TV(also in the whole Sun Network) was produced by Radaan TV, which is owned by Radhika. So we came to a conclusion that, they won't move from DMK.

But, Elango a friend of mine told me that he is getting ready to join AIADMK, which I considered as a rumour, but it happened.

Sarathkumar said, "After hectic consultations with fans, people in close circles and the public, I have taken this decision. It might be a delayed one. But the decision was final."

Sarathkumar had joined the DMK in 1998, and in the same year he contested for the Lok Sabha from Tirunelveli Parliamentary Constituency and lost his victory to ADMK candidate in just 6900 votes(1.5%)

The main reason could be :

1. Sarathkumar could have asked a seat for Radhika in the coming TamilNadu Assembly Election 2006, that too in some particular constituency where his caste have a upper hand.

2. Previously it was said (mostly a rumour) that they had some problem with Maran family (Sun Network) since many of their TV serials in Tamil is just dubbed to other channels in the languages like Telugu, Malayalam & Kannada. And Radhika was asking for some more money etc.,

3. In my view, if AIADMK comes to power this time, DMK can't come to power in future. So, the couples planned and quit. May be also they might have some problems with someone strong in DMK!!

DMK announced its candidate list, in which DMK candidates are of 127 in number & 5 from other small unrecognized parties contesting in 'Rising SUN' symbol. So a total of 132 candidates are contesting in DMK Symbol Rising SUN.

As usual M Karunanidhi from Chepauk and his Son & Thousand Lights sitting MLA MK Stalin from the same constituency.
