Hi All,
I’m Samuel, NRI and having affiliation towards DMK. However I’m not opinionated towards DMK. I have fair mind and open mind.

The whole of December I was in TN and had observed the marvelous job done by JJ during the unprecedented rains in TN.
There were up and downs during her tenure, however despite all the odds she excelled. However this cannot be taken for granted. Given to her past history and performance record, it seems that power has always been her weakness.
Under pressure she excels. With power she acts like dictator which means she misuses her power. I do not deny the external influences such as Sasikala and her family.
The question is that what is her real intention? Is she intending to continue the good work?? Coming back to our pre-election debate:
From what I observed during my stay in TN last December and again this February it felt that JJ might win despite all the big names against her.

DMK In their earlier term did a marvelous job, but was defeated in the last election because of improper planning and overconfidence on the Part of DMK leadership. Having allied with Cong I, they can boast of all the good things what TN has gained because of this great alliance. But it seems DMK president has done his home work well for the oncoming election.

As I said earlier that AIADMK might win, the aligning of VAIKO with ADMK was a big negative point for AIADMK. VAIKO has nothing to loose. But the loss will be for his allied party. VAIKO does not have a vote bank as everybody thinks and since he deserted DMK there is definitely a negative impact despite all his justifications.

Frankly speaking Brahmins vote was always in flavor of JJ. But now that BJP is separate that makes a big difference and will split vote which will neither benefit BJP nor ADMK. The votes will be split without any purpose.

Now that Vijaykanth who is allied with BJP he will tend to loose minorities vote and definitely that will be polled for DMK.

So DMK will get the negative votes of VAIKO and the minorities of from BJP Vijaykanth alliance.

Having said these we should not forget that there is a great shift of young people towards congress again this will help the DMK alliance.

No doubt about the PMK which is caste based it will always be a pert of the winning team as no issues would change the mind of their voters.

One thing is clear everybody has done their home work and has decided to take the gamble.

But the voter has the ultimate say. What I would say that let us not waste our voting right. Let go to the polling station and vote for whomever we have to. It’s our right. I’m proud that I’m an India that I decide the person to govern me.
Let’s Go and Vote and it’s the duty of the politicians to deliver their promises and if not we have the power to change them.
